Service to the Community
Service to the Community is at the heart of Maha Rudra Dev Mandir, as we believe that engaging in community service carries rewards beyond the obvious and tangible. Various free classes are being offered at MRDM as follows:
- Music – Vocal
- Dance - Classical
- Yoga
- Hindi
- Various Conferences: Religious, Health and Wellness
All our instructors are volunteers and are very experienced in their fields.
MRDM also recognizes a need to bring our elders to a place where they can perform their worship. For this reason, we are in the process of arranging a bus service for pick-up and drop-off of our Hindu elderly community. This will enable them to attend religious services and join in worship.
Our youth community is the process of planning visits to nearby Shelters and Orphanages to donate food and clothing. This is scheduled for the months of October and December.
These undertakings are in accordance to the hindu teaching of “karma,” which is performing good actions for the betterment of our community. Hinduism preaches that community service helps to build a rich and supportive community of people who know each other and lend each other a hand when it is needed.
